I am a student at the University of Salford. I have been jiving for around 3 years and am looking for an enthusiastic/confident/fun-loving jive leader to be my partner for a dance routine for my University's talent show. I REALLY want to use this oppertunity to show students at Salford just how amazin Jiving is!!!

I would love to do this with you Carly, the only problem is that I live in Essex. If you could arrange accomodation for me up there I would be quite happy to come up and help you out (no strings attached). I love doing demonstration dancing and have danced Modern Jive for the Ceroc franchise in the Town Centre at Chelmsford, Essex. Have been jiving for over seven years doing various Jive styles:-

Ballroom Jive - not very keen on (too formal)
Lindy Hop (yeh man!)
Modern Jive (Ceroc) - have demonstrated this many times
Rock 'n' Roll - had lessons from Kav Kavana (ex Rock 'n' Roll champion)
West Coast Swing (bit rusty on this one)
Balboa (bit rusty on this one but love doin it)

My favourite track to dance Modern Jive to is 'Fire' by Desree and Baby Face. It's a slow track (the best ones to dance to). I have a friend who I occaisionally dance with at The Shire Hall in Chelmsford and when we dance to this track it is just fantastic (we are so 'in tune' together).

My height is 6 ft and weight is 11st 3lbs - which may be a consideration.

I would prefer to do a basic routine (although am an Intermediate/Advanced dancer) and could put one together quite easily (if you so wish) and have you dancing it in a short space of time. As the saying goes "It's not what you do, but the way that you do it". I am known for my very good leading style - 'Firm but Gentle'.

Currently, I am doing mostly Cross Body Style Salsa and am getting quite profficient at it (have also done a bit of Cuban style). Have also done a bit of Bachata and Merengue.

Hopefully, you will find someone locally but the offer is there if you need it.

Kind Regards, Allen
