DJ Mauri
DJ Mauri who is originally from London and has Latin influence from his mother has been raised around the Latin culture, music and dance ever since a youg age. Now only 21 he has been working hard to show the people of Britain the great music of which is Latin, including Salsa, Merengue, Bachata, Reggaeton.
He has DJ'd in over 10 different venues. Voodoo Lounge (bottom of North Hill, Plymouth) /Crash Manor (Union Street, Plymouth) / Henry J's (Plymouth) / Plymouth Students Union (Plymouth) & many house parties are only few examples of his work and effort.
He is to now DJ at a charity event taking place in January 2011 hoping to raise at least £500 for a charity raising money for the blind. For his passion for the culture and music that he was raised up aroud he is now wanting to keep on spreading and DJing Latin music to all people in the UK.
At the age of 15 he also was a salsa teacher for a short period of 6months where he was teaching children from the age of 7-11years old how to dance Salsa. After doing this for 6months he is now confident how to dance and is always ready to liven up the party with his energy and enthusiasm.

I’m organising a fundraising night of live Latin music on 20th October, headlined by Roberto Pla’s 17 piece band, for CENIT, and Ecuadorian charity aiding street children. I’m not sure what your suggestion would be, but would like to ask for you help in promoting the event – maybe sending the attached info and flyer out to your members, maybe putting some info on your site – maybe both!! Hi, my name is Roger. I have a burning passion for salsa music and dance, but I have found that great salsa music / video isn’t always easy to find. So I’ve decided to build a salsa music / video website which aims to make it easier for people to obtain (legally) truly great salsa.
I already have some excellent support from a small number salsa promoters and DJs, but I figure that with just a little help from even more people who share my enthusiasm for salsa, it may be possible (in time) to make Salsa Mart the best specialist salsa music / video on-line store. Over the years he has developed his own inimitable and impressive style. Thomas is passionate about his music and dance encouraging all in his classes to learn, have fun and enjoy the spirit of Latin dancing.
He teaches all styles including: New York Mambo,Salsa Cuban and Hip-hop, Reggaeton Bachata and Merengue and Kizomba.
