All good points JD that I agree with ... Though the original post that started this renewed tap water debate, was about banning tap water drinkers because they don't bring anything to the party.

By which I mean that from the viewpoint of the venue owners, if you had say 200 people in a venue all drinkers (they are all drinkers) 100 who pay for their drinks and 100 who don't i.e. tap water drinkers; the venue in reality has only 100 people.

Ban the 100 tap water drinkers and nothing changes except the cost for running the night i.e. numbers of doorman and staff wear & tear etc etc go down.

Add to that, the formulae that you mention and although some Salseros might wince a little most I think would accept it; in fact I think (and I could be wrong because it is a generalisation)that the only people who would properly whinge at the formulae wouldn't be there anyhow because they would also be the tap water drinkers!

Sorted let’s do it!

In fact this is the formulae outlined by Andrew except in his scenario there is a greater degree of separation and therefore choice but it all boils down to the same thing in the end, in that you can’t please all of the people all of the time but you do have to run a viable Salsa business to please all of the people some of time … I believe that is the proverb word for word ... isn’t it?
